High traffic volumes are expected on national routes such as the N1 and N3 this weekend as holidaymakers travel back to Gauteng ahead of the new school term.
N3 Toll Concession’s Con Roux has warned of roadworks.
“We are expecting high traffic volumes heading back from Durban to the Joburg area. Reason for that is that schools are opening on Monday. There are a couple of places along the N3 in a north bound direction where we do have essential roadworks. So, motorists could possibly expect delays. We are asking motorists to exercise patience in those areas.”
